Final Fight highlight: Darrick Minner needs just 31 seconds to tap out Clay Collard

Launched in 2012 to host what was expected to serve as the final contest of striking legend Mirko Cro Cop’s kickboxing career, Final Fight Championship is now Las Vegas’ premier multi-discipline martial arts promotion.

Now the flagship tenant of the Fight Dome at Caesars Entertainment Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Sin City, Final Fight Championship (FFC) hosts events that feature boxing and kickboxing bouts alongside MMA contests, as well. More importantly for MMA Junkie readers, the promotion has agreed to share its rapidly growing library of fights with our audience.

Today, check out lightweight Darrick Minner (22-9) in his most recent outing, facing four-time UFC veteran Clay Collard at this past November’s FFC 33 event. Competing in the co-main event of the evening, Minner needed just 31 seconds to pick up an impressive decision win.

FFC returns to the Fight Dome on Thursday, June 20 for FFC 38. MMA Junkie’s John Morgan and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will call the fights, which will air via tape delay on CBS Sports Network.

The FFC 38 lineup includes:

  • Jay Cucciniello vs. Jamall Emmers
  • Nah-Shon Burrell vs. Gabriel Checco
  • Bryan Arreaga vs. Max Rohskopf
  • David Jordan vs. Caleb Williams
  • Jackie Gosh vs. Randall Wallace
  • Chris Johnson vs. Keith Lee
  • Kickboxing: Jermaine Soto vs. Maykol Yurk
  • Boxing: Omar Garcia vs. Daquan Mays

Final Fight Championship (FFC) is the first and only professional combat sports franchise offering fans a unique ‘multi-discipline’ experience (boxing, kickboxing and MMA), where every event culminates with a championship title bout. All FFC events take place inside the Fight Dome at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas, the all-new mecca of combat sports. Tickets are available for purchase at any Las Vegas Caesars Entertainment Box Office and Ticketmaster.com. The ‘multi-discipline’ event will air nationwide on CBS Sports Network on tape delay. Check your local listings for more information.
