Calderwood on the fight’s key moment

“I’ve heard this so many times – opponents saying they’re going to stand with me. They always shoot (for takedowns). That’s why we worked so hard on my gound work and my dirty wrestling (and) scrambles. Obviously I want to keep it standing, but it’s MMA and these girls are going to shoot.”

Calderwood on the pressure for a win

“It’s such a relief to get the win. There’s so much pressure on fighters to get that ‘W’ because if you don’t, you’re going home with half a paycheck. I’m just happy that I put on a good performance. I knew as soon as we got matched up with Andrea, it was going to be a hard fight. But these are the fights I want.”

Calderwood on what she wants next

“This is going to be a pretty awesome memory for me and we’ll get back to work. I’m here to bang it out with anyone in the division.”
