Surely Ben Askren can appreciate someone who talks the talk and walks the walk.
Known for his ability to sell a fight, Askren showed newly crowned middleweight champion Israel Adesanya admiration for what he has done in such a short amount of time.
Adesanya put on a memorable performance in front of a record-breaking crowd in Marvel Stadium, knocking out Robert Whittaker at UFC 243, unifying the middleweight championship.
And Askren says if you’re not a “Stylebender” fan then you just don’t get it.
“I am very critical, but some of you people are missing the boat. @stylebender is a (expletive) superstar. Charismatic, Unique, Speaks well and can fight.”
No “Boom Roasted” from Askren this time, who thinks Adesanya has it all. The undefeated champion is on the way of becoming one of the biggest stars the sport has ever seen, and “Funky” approves.
