Skelly on the fight’s key moment

“”This is my first time using the UFC PI team for the weight cut and they did a fabulous job. Everything from the meals to even the rehydration was great – those guys did a fantastic job. I felt great.”

Skelly on the importance of a win

“It’s important to me to get back in the win column. I don’t really look at it like I was on a losing streak. I can’t say anything abut the Jason Knight fight. I broke my arm at the end, so it is what it is – no excuses. My last fight, I don’t even really consider a loss. I want to be graceful about it and a good sport, but I know what happened in there. It wasn’t a loss, but I am grateful to be back in the win column. It means everything financially and it takes a little hardship off my family. Everyone supports me through these camps and they’re hard. Taxes taken out here, taxes taken out in the U.S. and you have to pay your camp and everything, so the extra money is everything.”

Skelly on what he wants next

“I’m eager to get back in there. I’m more eager to get back into the gym and get better, to be honest with you. With this camp, I was focused on getting my cardio back and keeping my body healthy. But now that I know my body can take a full camp, it means everything to get back in there and just go.”
